Six branches of competition in Efest!

1. NEWS CASTING
In this competition participant will play role like a real professional news caster. Participant will deliver and read certain news that will be prepared by the committee. Besides reading news, in this competition participant will have a session of to read and announce the weather forecast that also will be prepared by the committee. The scoring materials for the News Casting are performance, their material control, and their ability in English. The participants required to pay attention on their attires, expression, self confidence, intonation, tempo, and timing. Also their grammar, vocabulary, and pronounciation.

2. SPEECH
Participant will have to make and deliver their speech in this competition. The theme of the speech will be prepared by the committee. The maximum time will be given for each participant to deliver their speech is 10 minutes. The participant should pay attention on their physical appereance during the performance, grammar, vocabulary, intonation, fluency, timing and etc.

3. STORY TELLING
Story telling is a competition where a participant has to deliver a story as creative as possible according to the theme that has been prepared by the committee. During the performance, each participant can elaborate the stories according their imagination. Each participant allowed to use their own supportive materials and costume. The maximum time will be given for each participant is 10 minutes. The judges will look on several aspects such as their creativity in elaborating the story, their physical appeareance during the performance, and their English skills including grammar, fluency, intonation, and vocabulary. Timing and tempo also matter.

4. SPELLING BEE
In this competition each participant should spell an english word as fast as possible. A participant who can answer most correct words in fastest time will win this competition. The purpose of this competition is to train the participant in their hearing and spelling ability in english.

5. MEGAMIND
Megamind is the abbreviation of Master Game of Mind. In this competition, each team that consists of three participants will challenge their knowledge on general and global issues. The team with highest score will be the winner of this game. The purpose of this competition is to develop the students knowledge on both national and international issues.

6. ALSA MODEL UNITED NATIONS
Model United Nations is a UN general or crisis meeting simulation. In this competition, participant will play role as a delegation of a country that will be selected by the committee. This year ALSA MUN consist of two main committees, those are Legal Committee and Security Council. In each committee the participant will discuss a certain issue according to their agenda. The vision of this competition is to train students on their diplomatic, public speaking, and their drafting skills towards a moderated debate. The best delegates will given an awards.
